From JP :

           Hello. Here is my 1971 3/4-ton Chevrolet 4 x 4. [ View from passenger's side ] I have owned this truck since 1998.

For about two years, I was looking for a nice 1967-1972 Chevy truck. Those are my favorite years. I wanted to restore or buy one that was already done.

I lived in Ohio then and those trucks were few and far apart -- even in the surrounding states. Living in the rust belt salt rots these trucks out. Most that I saw did not have easy lives and were torn up.

I went out to a burger joint and saw this truck on the way there. I had seen it before but could never catch up with the owner to talk about it. The truck had a big body lift, mudder tires, ladder rack -- the usual stuff that happens over the years.

The owner was at a gas station fueling up and I did a quick u-turn and jumped out of my vehicle. I asked if she wanted to sell that truck. She responded that it was her husband's and he was in another vehicle there just about to leave. So, I talked to him and he told me an ad just came out in that day's newspaper! So the deal was made.

The truck has a 454 with turbo 350 [ pix ] , wood bed, 10 inch wide slots. The interior has been redone [ pix ] .

This has been a great truck.

Thanks,

jp
